New Wrapped Decanters

We recently completed two new decanters to add to the the original wrapped Decanter that is now in Hong Kong. These core cast pieces use an original cut crystal decanter as the negative shape inside the casting. This can be glimpsed through the  wrappings that enclose a space around around the decanter. It is a way of turning things on their head. Suddenly the wrapping becomes the outer surface and the original cut crystal surface becomes  a concealed core. The non-precious is rendered precious whilst the fancy-cut  traditional decanter becomes a secret centre, waiting to be discovered!

The decanters were launched at the “Form”exhibition at London Glassblowing in October 2013 and will be appearing later in the year at Thomas Goode in London W1.
