Fertile Landscapes

A series of one-off works based around the theme of landscape and the human body. This edition was key in the development of Max’s core casting technique where objects forming negative spaces inside the ‘Massif Cast’ glass block actually appear as solid objects suspended in space. The technique forms one chapter of Angela Thwaites’s influential book Mould Making for Glass Casting (A&C Black 2012) and has been taught in a number of Max’s casting courses in the UK and Germany.
