Installation with Kirsty Brooks: Otranto Passage:

Otranto Passage: Architectural Glass Installation at St. Johns College Oxford with Kirsty Brooks

For this installation at St. Johns College Oxford by Kirsty Brooks we were commissioned by the artist to execute a series of cast glass works in the form of parment paper and ancient books. We tested a series of techniques in order to achieve the challenge of casting thin pieces of large paper in sheets of glass. The installation is located in the Otranto Passage which runs along the back of the east side of Canterbury Quad. When the College’s major new Study Centre opens in 2018, the passage will form the main entrance to it from the Quad. You can read more about the installation on the St Johns College website.
